“I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it.”- Maya Angelou

We all, at one point or another, experience difficult things that redefine or reshape our character and view of the world. My goal as a therapist is to walk alongside you in discovering how your life experiences, and present thoughts and emotions, have impacted your quality of life and view of self. In journeying through this together, I hope to assist you in finding ways of thinking, feeling, and being that most align with the person you wish to be and the life you wish to live. Everyone deserves a place where they can show up as their authentic self without judgment or fear. The hardest step you take is the first one. Remember, you may be changed by your experiences, but you are not less worthy.

Education:

I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from Niagara University.

Style:

I believe in a holistic approach to counseling because we are deeply impacted by the things we think, feel, and experience, but also by everything going on in the world around us. Each person is unique and may require different evidence-based techniques in the counseling room; therefore, I think it is important to incorporate many therapeutic styles. As a student, I currently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and the Systems approach.

Hobbies:

When I am not working with clients, I like to spend my time walking, running, or hiking, reading with a good cup of tea, baking, watching Star Wars for the 80th time, or spending time with family and friends.
