An important thing about living your life is seeing where you have choices and knowing how to make the best of them. Everyone can benefit from an outside perspective — to see more clearly where we have been and, most importantly, where we want to go. I would love to be a sounding board for your thoughts, feelings, stuck places, and roadblocks. Collaborating together, I hope to make the space we share a springboard for your next big adventure.

Education:

Steph is currently enrolled in the master’s program for Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University

Style:

I believe therapy works best when you meet the person where they are at. You are in charge of where we go in sessions and what we do. I’ll bring my expertise and experience to every session and I’ll offer suggestions. But you are the boss when it comes to deciding where we go. The approaches I bring are Acceptance and Commit Therapy, decades of mindfulness work, narrative therapy, inner child work, and trauma reprocessing. I am trained in EMDR and feel most fulfilled when I help people deal with difficult truths. Only you can decide when you are ready to face something. But I can break the process down into manageable steps then be there for you with every step you choose to take.

Hobbies:

I love spending time with my three teens and my four cats. I enjoy playing lofi video games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley while listening to audiobooks and video essays. I also enjoy playing lots of board games with my friends, including tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons.
