Do you sometimes feel like you are constantly running into a brick wall? One of the greatest things and probably hardest lessons I’m still learning today is that we can be flexible and flow like a river. One of my favorite quotes is: “Change is inevitable, but Growth is optional.” -(John C. Maxwell) Sometimes we dislike change because it can be scary, challenging, and hard. Fortunately, we don’t have to chose to do it alone!
I’m here to help support you in thinking outside the box and in finding the healthiest path for you in your journey. Change can be scary but it doesn’t have to be and we can work together to find the beauty while supporting your growth along the way!

Education:

I earned my master's and bachelors degree in social work from Concord University in Athens, West Virginia. I have been a social worker since 2011 and a licensed clinical social worker since 2020.

Style:

My style is very flexible because we are not "one size fits all"! My hope for everyone I work with is to know that they are worthy of living a life full of meaning and joy! Because of my personal experiences and beliefs my approach is strength based and person-centered as you know yourself better than I do. I challenge clients to think outside the box and learn to become flexible in their decisions and emotions as they navigate and grow into the best version of themselves. I'm always available for a good laugh, as well! Modalities I use regularly: Acceptance (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy. Within these modalities we will work on building the 'ACTION plan' to help you achieve your GOALS by utilizing mindfulness, skill building, and psychoeducation!

Fun Facts:

I'm training to hike the Appalachian Trail for a big milestone birthday in a few years. When I'm not working you can often find me on a road trip adventure in the car or RV with my husband and kiddo. I love a good Comicon, Renaissance Faire, or to see beautiful views with good food and music along the way! I also played on a sports team in college.
