Introduction:

“Sometimes you gotta get through your fear to see the beauty on the other side” -The Good Dinosaur. No one should have to face life’s challenges alone. Whether you’re navigating major transitions, processing difficult emotions, or seeking growth, reaching out for support is a courageous and empowering step. I am passionate about walking alongside clients as they uncover their strength and create meaningful change.

Education:

Katelyn received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Missouri and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Belmont University.

Style:

Katelyn approaches therapy from a compassionate, person-centered framework, ensuring that clients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their journey. She enjoys working with individual adults, adolescents, and couples. Her therapeutic approach is informed by a range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Somatic Therapy. Katelyn is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR). She tailors her techniques to meet the unique needs of each client

Hobbies:

After a long day Katelyn loves to cuddle up with her dog Frittata on the couch. She is a lover of music so she is always on the lookout for concerts to go to or new playlists to listen to. She loves to put together a far too complicated lego set with the comfort of a disney movie playing in the background. What fills Katelyn's cup the most is to cook a Sunday dinner for as loved ones as she can.

Specialties:

Katelyn works with clients aged 13 to 65. She specializes in addressing ADHD, women's issues, body image issues, disordered eating, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship distress, and life transitions, while being sex positive and LGBTQIA+ affirming. Her goal is to help clients gain clarity and confidence while building the tools they need to thrive.
