I enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life and have a particular passion for working with the littlest of clients. I believe that everyone deserves a safe and nonjudgmental space to share their experiences. It is not easy taking that first step in asking for help. It is sometimes hard to get started or can feel unnatural at first. So I strive to create an environment that facilitates comfortability, unconditional positive regard, empathy, authenticity, honesty, and laughter. Being seen, heard, and validated are powerful pieces to the healing process.
My first goal in therapy is to establish trust and build rapport. I open up a safe space that provides your child, adolescent, or yourself with coping skills and a place to make sense of hard things. I utilize a person-centered approach, as well as child-centered play therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and the Gottman method.
"And I knew exactly what to do. But in a much more real sense, I had no idea what to do", once said by the character Michael Scott from the show The Office. Many of us have felt this way during certain times of our lives. I am here to help you sort through and find new ways of navigating these seasons of your life.
