Other times very practical solutions are needed for couples such as communication techniques, division of household/work/and parenting tasks, or working thru the big issues in relationships…money, sex, and in-laws or ex’s.
For individuals suffering from depression or anxiety I take a holistic approach; mind, body and spirit. Without simple changes in our bodies such as relaxation, exercise, and sleep our mind cannot connect. Without opening our souls to meditation, guidance and/or prayer, we may feel an empty vessel. When we take care of the whole person there is a synergistic effect and the results are much greater.
I use Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Psychoeducation. I enjoy working with couples, kids, and individuals. You will find some tough love, boundaries, and even laughter.
