Holly Toensing

As a play therapist, I believe growth and healing happens through play and connection. My goal is for every child to feel safe, valued, seen, and heard within the therapeutic relationship. With this foundation, I walk alongside the child on their journey of self-discovery, using the language of play to identify and express emotions, process experiences, learn coping skills, and build upon their strengths. With a firm belief that relationships are the cornerstone of healing and growth, I work together with parents/caregivers, recognizing their expertise in their child’s life. I pride myself in creating a safe, nurturing environment for my clients, while collaborating closely with parents/caregivers to create a safe space where kids can explore their emotions and grow.
Using a variety of play therapy techniques including sand tray, art, therapeutic games, and puppets, I provide services for children and adolescents with a wide variety of presenting issues including trauma, loss, adoption, attachment, depression, anxiety, stress, and difficulties with emotional regulation. I would be honored to join you and your child as we walk this transformative path of healing and discovery together.
