I am currently a graduate student at Trevecca University studying to get my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am interested in working with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and transitional periods of life. My goal as your therapist is to help you process and heal from some of these difficult and challenging parts of life and help you to rewrite parts of your story through a new lens.
For children, I utilize a play-therapy approach, as I believe healing for children is found through their language of play. I also include elements of Cognitive-Behavioral therapy in my practice, which helps you to challenge and change distorted thoughts and beliefs by strengthening emotional regulation and coping skills . I utilize a cooperative, attachment- and strengths- based approach where we work together to identify and reach your therapeutic goals. I cannot give you the answers to your life’s problems, but I can support and guide you as we figure them out together.
My goal is to create a safe space where you feel welcomed, supported, accepted, and encouraged no matter where you find yourself. I believe we are created for community and are not meant to struggle alone. Life is full of joyous moments, difficult hurdles, and expected and unexpected challenges. It is my sincere privilege to walk alongside you as you navigate this journey called life.
